The University of Toronto is accepting applications from students for the University of Toronto National Scholarship. The deadline to apply for this award is October 17, 2024 Official notification The official notification reads, “In order to be considered for the National Scholarship, nominees must submit a National Scholarship application form by the posted deadline (i.e., nominees are not automatically considered for the scholarship).
The selection committee will select approximately twenty-five finalists to participate in selection interviews, which will be held virtually in January. Only successful candidates will be notified.” The University of Toronto provides around 700 undergraduate programs in Life Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Commerce and Management, Engineering,
Kinesiology and Physical Education, Computer Science, Music, Physical and Mathematical Sciences, and Architecture. This scholarship covers incidentals, tuition, and living expenses for up to four years of study. Finalists who are not chosen as National Scholars get Arbour Scholarships worth $7,500 in the first year and $1,500 every year for the following three years of their undergraduate studies.
Eligibility criteria: The applicant should be a creative, innovative thinker. They should be dedicated to their community and school. Exceptional students with strong academic achievements and artistic activities. They must be eager to discover new things and learn. They must be a Canadian citizen, protected individual, or permanent resident. The students may be in their final year of Canadian secondary school or first-year CEGEP. A National Book Award nominee who intends to begin university studies next year or plans to take a year off is also eligible.
